The Portrait Now Exhibition was a collection of over ninety of the world’s best contemporary portraits, and NB were asked by the National Portrait Gallery to create the accompanying catalogue. The artists featured were diverse and there was the potential for the works to jar when placed side by side in the catalogue. Our solution was to create a clean, elegant and timeless catalogue that gave the images the space they needed. Pictures took centre stage, and typography was kept minimal with quotations from contributors in white boxes.
