John Ross was born in Malta under UK sovereignty (his father was a naval aviator) and was sent away to school in Suffolk. After his A-levels, he then did a year's foundation course and a BA Hon in Photography at Manchester Art school.
He started out on his own some 20 years ago in a studio on the Fulham Road and bought a purpose built studio 14 years ago on the river at London Bridge. He is about to move into a new, larger studio he has purchased some 5 minutes away and is looking forward to a new era.
